I apologize for the extremely delayed response but i still wanted to reply.
I would recommend to try some trouble shooting to see if we can fix this issue. You may be experiencing an issue with your remote or the unit itself.
Unplug your unit for 30 seconds then plug it back in. Try your side panel controls to see if you have functionality. If you do, we need to get you a new remote. If you do not, i would recommend to send your unit in for repairs.
