I want you to try a few things for me. First, unplug the unit for about 20 seconds and then plug it back in. When the unit starts up, press and hold the "Stop" button on the side control panel. That will do a factory reset on the unit and all the lights will blink and the unit will beep. If the lights keep flashing, we know there is a problem because it has a self-diagnostic system.
It sounds as if the internal flow valve has a problem and it would have to come to our repair center. The water flow is what controls the nozzle extension, and water should not be coming out the drainage tray at any time. The only other suggestion I would suggest is to look and make sure the drainage tray is closed all the way on the underneath side.
